GH staff recently served as project counsel to Lott Community Development Corporation in connection with the acquisition, construction, and financing of Lott Legacy Apartments – a scattered-site preservation project consisting of twenty-one buildings located in the East Harlem neighborhood of Manhattan. The project was developed in conjunction with MDG Design and Construction LLC through HPD’s Year 15 program. The project was financed with mortgage loans from The City of New York acting by and through the Department of Housing Preservation and Development and New York City Housing Development Corporation. With the extension of affordability to low income individuals and families and the comprehensive scope of work (including various innovative sustainability and energy-saving components), Lott and MDG were able to preserve affordable housing to the 359 residential units for years to come.
