A coalition of some of the most successful community development corporations in the country is pleased to announce the formation of a new, consolidated housing entity that will jointly own and oversee portfolios of over a dozen New York City CDCs, comprising some 3,000 to 5,000 units of affordable housing.
This is exciting and ground-breaking news!
This new entity seeks to capitalize on the collective assets and talents of this prominent group of CDCs in a way that celebrates local control and accountability and ensures the maintenance of people-sensitive control of our affordable housing stock. Now, the joint ownership entity, JOE NYC, is seeking an Executive Director to run this newly formed entity, currently launching its operations with support from the member CDCs and a host of banks, foundations, and intermediaries.
