Panelists will deconstruct scenarios and weigh the options for housing credit properties reaching the end of the 15-year compliance period. The panel will discuss challenges, opportunities, and strategies including holding, selling, refinancing, and recapitalization as ways to generate capital.

While the unwind of tax credit partnerships is intended to be a straightforward exercise, it can often possess complications and unforeseen consequences that take one, or both, of the parties by surprise if not properly thought through upfront. Our panelists will discuss how Year 15 is being addressed in tax credit transaction closings today and lessons learned from past closings.
